Two exhibitions that will take you on a journey at the Maison sur la Sorgue
The Galerie Retour de Voyage, nestled in the heart of the boutique hotel La Maison sur la Sorgue - an Esprit de France residence - celebrates imagery and movement with two exhibitions well worth a visit: “Partir” and “Silver Sivlester.” Visitors are invited to experience this dual immersion in the unique setting of an artists’ home.
On one hand, in the exhibition “Silver Silvester,” Hans Silvester presents his early black-and-white silver gelatin prints, created between 1958 and 1976. Through 27 rare works, produced using traditional processes, the artist demonstrates the timeless power of black-and-white silver gelatin photography. Come see them through April 30 at the Maison sur la Sorgue.
On the other hand, “Partir” reveals the world of David Daoud. Shaped by a life marked by exile and travel, his paintings explore movement—and particularly that fragile moment when we leave something behind without knowing exactly what we will find. David Daoud gives form to this universal act: leaving.
You’ll be able to see human silhouettes, horsemen, and figures in motion, symbols of movement, through May 17.
