The cradle of Impressionism

Claude Monet’s arrival in Giverny rapidly attracted groups of painters interested in learning impressionist techniques.

A hundred years later, Daniel Terra, American businessman and art collector, had Monet’s works shipped back to where they were originally painted to open the American Art Museum, which later became the Giverny Impressionist Museum.
