Brand new restaurants and rooftops to try out this summer !

The month we have been waiting for to start going out again and enjoying the Parisian restaurants! Here are some brand new restaurants and rooftops to try out this summer now lockdown is over and start feeling free again!

Eat while overlooking all of Paris!

The roofs of Paris are one of the most beautiful sights to see. Book a rooftop table at Au Top, a new restaurant in the 3rd arrondissement, rue vieille du Temple. A stunning panoramic view awaits. Comfortably seated in a little Parisian cocoon while enjoying an oriental style of Mediterranean cuisine, watching the sun go down over Beaubourg. Something for everyone on this eclectic menu, such as spicy roast pineapple, vegetarian African stew with truffles, seafood platters and more...

Zero carbon footprint

table_de_colette_byespritdefrance.jpegA new restaurant has just opened in the 5th arrondissement, rue Laplace, close to the hôtel Parc Saint-Séverin, the Panthéon and La Sorbonne. La Table de Colette is both trendy and elegant and offers an orginal dining experience: enjoying an eco-friendly meal thanks to efficient carbon footprint management. The young chef behind the initiative wants to use top quality rural produce and the citizen inside the man wants to work in an eco-friendly manner. The restaurant with a Gault&Millau grant for 'young talent' serves, for example, soft-boiled egg in breadcrumbs with fish roe whipped cream, a vegetarian dish of cabbage, carrots and aromatic herbs and a chocolate dessert. A pure delight without feeling guilty about the planet!

Dinner in the Roaring Twenties

The famous Chef Jean-François Piège opened his fifth restaurant in the 1st arrondissement, rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, close to the hôtel de la Place du Louvre back earlier this year. The A l’épi d’or restaurant recalls the Roaring Twenties with a typical traditional bistrot décor: a long leather sofa against the mirrored wall, a zinc counter and old fashioned crockery … an authenic invitation to take a step back in time! In the kitchens, Elodie Piège, Jean-François's wife, puts exceptional "instant" dishes together, which are both simple and tasty with a Portuguese touch, in-line with her origins. In addition to the weekday menu, a country pâté starter, the classic tartar and fries and the comforting rice pudding our grandmothers used to make are also on offer. Straightforward, top-notch cuisine from the Piège family.
