"Perched on a rocky spur at the heart of the vineyard"

In Southern Burgundy, at the heart of a vineyard, stands the impressive Château de Pierreclos which was once described by Alphonse de Lamartine, a French writer, poet and politician who was familiar with the place: “at noon, the village of Pierreclos and its old château with its majestic Demeanour...”.

This stronghold has withstood the major periods of French history such as the Hundred Years' War, the Wars of Religion and the French Revolution, and has evolved since the 17th century to become the château with adjoining gardens we see today.

The rooms

The Counts’ Suite occupies the entire first floor of the 18th century keep. Its decoration dates back to the 17th century: Versailles parquet flooring, monochrome wooden panelling and a French-style ceiling. Its huge windows afford magnificent views.

The other rooms are located above the 15th century stables, with 3 of them featuring majestic exposed beams. The decoration is simple and elegant, with a touch of “country chic”.
