At the edge of the Champagne region, the Château de Picheny was built in 1869 by Hyppolite Blanche, a fellow architect of Georges-Eugène Haussman, who had made it his summer and hunting residence.
The current owners recently restored the Napoleon III-style residence, while preserving its original presiding spirit. With Napoleon III-style furniture, the original, solid-oak parquet flooring and walls covered with authentic Toile de Jouy fabric from Paris and wallpaper featuring hunting and nature scenes, the three spacious suites are decorated in the style of the era when the château was built.
The Château is surrounded by gardens, making this a real haven of peace at the heart of the Aisne-Champagne countryside.
"We are happy to share the Château de Picheny with guests and to welcome you to one of our three suites designed in Napoleon III-style, harmonising with the region through local elements and products."
Vincent and Eric will be delighted to welcome you to their residence.
The suites are highly spacious, including a bedroom, lounge and bathroom.
The bathroom has a separate shower and Victorian-style bath tub.
The rooms have all modern conveniences in a period style.
