Nature Park of the Verdon and the Gorges du Verdon
The Nature Park of the Verdon and the Gorges du Verdon stretching from the Plateau of Valensole to the heights of the Var. The Nature Park of the Verdon gathers 44 communes. Its contibutes to the preservation of a rich and wild nature. In this prestigious site there are innumerable superb and great landscape : lakes, gorges, canyons, rivers ... The Bastide du Calalou is the ideal starting point to visit the Green Provence : the villages of Tourtour and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, the Verdon Gorges and the perched villages of the Haut Var, the lakes of Sainte-Croix and Esparons, the Abbey of the Thoronet and the Prehistoric museum of Quinson, the vineyards and olive trees.
